Home Menu Screen (QLn420)

The QLn420 printer’s control panel includes a display where

the user can view the printer’s status or change its operat-

ing parameters. After the printer completes the power-up se-

quence, it moves to the Idle Display screen (Figure 20). This

screen includes the printer’s current status, information such

as firmware version and IP address, and a Home menu short-

cut.

The Home Menu for the printer uses a different set of icons

than the QLn320 and QLn220, uses larger fonts for enhanced

readability, and also provides support for multiple languag-

es. The Home Menu screen displays graphical parameter op-

tions including Settings, Tools, Network, Battery, Language,

Sensors, Ports, and Bluetooth (as shown in Figure 21). These

options allow the user to view the printer’s status or change

its operating parameters.

Home icon

The printer’s operating parameters are sorted into eight (8)

user menus, which you can access through the printer’s Home

menu (Figure 21). Click on the Home icon located on the Idle

Display screen to proceed to the Home Menu.

The user can scroll between icons using the four-way arrow

buttons. When an icon is highlighted, its text description will

be displayed in the middle of the navigation bar, and can be

selected by pressing the “OK” button. This will take the user to

the screen with status information specific to that option.
