Installation
External 10/100 PS
This illustration calls out the location and provides an enlarged illustration of the
parallel port:
6 Secure the wire locks.
7 On the back of the 10100 PS, connect an active ethernet cable to the RJ-45
connector Ethernet connector.
8 Turn on (I) the printer.
The 10100 PS performs a Power On Self Test (POST). This takes about 45
seconds. During the POST, the 10100 PS Status LED (just below the TEST
button) turns red and flashes on and off. Once the POST is successfully completed
and the 10100 PS is fully initialized, the 10100 PS Status LED turns green.
For more details on status indicators, see 10/100 PS Status Indicator on page 124.
9 To check the status of the 10100 PS, press the Test button located on the back of
the 10100 PS.
The prints out a configuration label of the 10100 PS.
Note • If there is not an active Ethernet cable attached to the 10100 PS, the LED
indicator turns green and rapidly flashes on and off.
