4 Through the mounting slot, insert the ribbon cable and 10⁄100 PS.
5 Fold the cable back over the mounting bracket, and connect the ribbon cable
connector into the keyed Interface Data Cable Connector (J4) on the main logic
board.
6 Secure the 10⁄100 PS interface board in place with the cover plate screws that you
removed earlier in this step sequence.
7 Confirm that all small cable connectors are tight.
8 Reinstall the electronics cover that you removed earlier in this step sequence.
9 Reconnect the AC power cord and turn the printer on (I).
10 Consult your System Administrator before configuring the 10⁄100 PS for your
network.
Note • The parallel port on the back of the printer is not operational when the internal
10⁄100 PS is installed. The hardware of the 10⁄100 PS mounting bracket covers the
parallel port.
Note • This kit includes a label printed with the Ethernet MAC hardware address for
the 10⁄100 PS. Remove the backing from the label and affix it to the back of the
printer.
