Replace the Motor

1. Plug the connector from the replacement Motor into the main logic board.

2. Flex the printer frame slightly to allow the gear pinion on the replacement Motor

to slide into its opening on the printer frame.

NOTE: Ensure the wires of the Motor emerge from the l.h. side as you face the pinion gear end of

the motor.

3. Rotate the Motor counter-clockwise when facing the outside of the printer frame

until the mounting ear of the Motor engages with its retaining feature on the

printer frame, and the mounting hole on the other mounting ear lines up with the

insert on the printer frame.

4. Secure the Motor with the supplied screw.

Remove the Gears

1. If you are replacing the drive Gears with the ones supplied with this repair kit,

remove the old gears by sliding them off their shafts.

Install the Replacement Gears

1. Slide the white replacement Gear onto the shaft nearest the Motor. The large

diameter gear must be closest to the printer frame and will mesh with the

Motor’s pinion gear.
