Serial and parallel

interfaces are only

available whereas the

2844-Z benefits from

triple communication

interfaces – serial,

parallel and USB.

No Ethernet option on

the TTP 243 whilst the

2844-Z offers internal

ZebraNet PrintServer II

for easy connection to

Ethernet networks.

The TTP-243 printers

have no smooth font

capability.

The 2844-Z 32 Bit

processor and 4 ips print

speed offer impressive

throughput – the TTP

243 has a 3ips print

speed. The 2844-Z has

a 65% faster time to first

label when compared to

the TTP 243.

The TTP 243 is not as

user-friendly when

compared to the

OpenACCESS design of

the 2844-Z. Access to

the media path is

restricted and media is

hard to load. User must

open top cover and then

print mechanism to

access media pathway.

There are no removable

parts, such as media roll

holder, on the

2844-Z

. On the TTP

243, these parts could

easily get lost or

misplaced

.

The TTP 243 footprint is

8% larger than the

TLP2844-Z and 13%

larger than the

LP 2844-Z. The Zebra

2844-Z printers are

more compact, space

saving desktop printing

solutions.

The TTP 243 has a

single walled cover that

is somewhat flimsy. The

2844-Z enclosure is

durable and reinforced
